NEW BLOOMFIELD, MO (May 26, 2016) - It came down to a playoff at the 2016 Missouri Senior Four-Ball and it was Mark Addington and Steve Groom emerging victorious. Addington and Groom finished the 36-hole event at Meadow Lake Acres Country Club tied with Robert Meeh and Robert Trittler at 7-under, sending play to extra holes.
The victors played steady golf throughout the two day event shooting 68-69--137. In the first round they played bogey-free golf and they were on the way to doing the same in the second round until they bogeyed the 17th hole. For a short time it looked as if the bogey would cost them a chance at the title but Addington and Groom bounced back with a final hole birdie.
Bob Hanneken and Skip Wilson finished in third place at 6-under while Kent Dinsdale and David Johnson; Don Bliss and Dennis Osborne shared fourth at 5-under.
The Super Senior flight was won by Jim Coleman and Rocky Walther as they finished 3-under and won by three-strokes over Lynn Dickey and Rob Gleissner.
Coleman and Walther were even-par for the tournament following a bogey on the 10th hole but they then eagled the par-5 11th and birdied the 12th to establish their winning score.
