Southeastern Am: Derek Chang by 7 Shots

COLUMBUS, GA (June 21, 2009)--Derek Chang of Alpharetta, GA broke away from the field in the final round of the Southeastern Amateur to win by 7 over Wade Binfield of Fayetteville, GA.
Chang was the only player with all four rounds in the 60's, shooting 69-63-68-68 for a 16-under 268 total. Binfield matched Chang's 69-63 start but closed with rounds of 72-71 for a 9-under total. Drew Ernst of Seneca, SC and Zeyu He of Bradenton, FL tied for fourth at 8-under.
Defending champion Mitch Krywulycz of Australia finished tied 44th at 6-over.
