Revuelta’s win headlines Stanford’s 35-shot runaway in Tucson
Stanford didn’t just win the Arizona Thunderbird Intercollegiate — it erased the field.
The top-ranked Cardinal rolled to a 35-shot victory over No. 21 Baylor, tying the largest margin of victory in program history, and did it while placing all six players inside the top 15 at Tucson Country Club.
Hosts Arizona finished third at 20-over-par, a full 36 shots behind Stanford, underlining just how far clear the Cardinal were from the rest of the field.
Stanford finished 16-under-par 848 and was the only team under par for the week, closing with an 11-under final round that turned the final day into a procession.
At the top, sophomore Andrea Revuelta delivered the individual title in complete control. She entered Tuesday with a five-shot lead and closed with a 2-under 70 to win by five at 11-under 205.
Junior Paula Martín Sampedro finished runner-up, with sophomore Meja Örtengren and freshman Anna Song also featuring prominently. Megha Ganne and Kelly Xu rounded out the Stanford lineup, giving the Cardinal all six players inside the top 15 — depth that continues to separate them from the field.
That strength will be on full display at Augusta in April. For the second straight year, all five Stanford starters — Paula Martín Sampedro, Meja Örtengren, Megha Ganne, Andrea Revuelta and Kelly Xu — have been invited to the Augusta National Women’s Amateur, scheduled for April 1–4, with incoming freshman Nikki Oh also in the field.
Stanford’s dominance isn’t just results — it’s reflected in the rankings too. As of early February 2026, the Cardinal boast four of the top five players in the World Amateur Golf Ranking: Martín Sampedro (No. 2), Revuelta (No. 3), Ganne (No. 4) and Örtengren (No. 5).

54 hole men's college tournament hosted by the University of Arizona. Team and individual competitions, with the best four of five rounds each day comprising the team score.
