Four steady rounds left Adriana Garcia alone in red numbers and six clear of the field

Adriana Garcia opened the 2026 women’s season with a controlled six-shot win at the Andalusian Cup, finishing at 2-under 286 after rounds of 73-70-71-72. She was the only player in the field to finish under par across 72 holes.

Garcia led from the front and never relinquished control, separating as scoring conditions tightened over the weekend. While the field drifted into red numbers, she stayed patient, closing at even par with a late birdie to keep her margin intact.

Angela Revuelta finished runner-up at 4-over 292 after rounds of 77-73-72-70, signing one of the lowest scores of the final day but never cutting into Garcia’s cushion.

The win is Garcia’s first title of 2026, following a prolific 2025 in which the 2027 University of Texas commit played 18 ranked events and won twice — the Campeonato de España Sub-16 Femenino in May and the Campeonato de España Amateur (Memorial Emma Villacieros) in June.

She also finished runner-up at the Copa Catalunya Femenina and the Spanish International Stroke Play, added a T-3 at the World Junior Girls Championship in Canada, and logged seven more top-10s over the year.

This week followed the same script: Garcia absorbed pressure, limited mistakes, and let the field come back to her — a repeatable scoring profile as she moves deeper into 2026 and closer to her college start in Austin.
