The road to the 2025 U.S. Open at Oakmont Country Club has officially begun, as local qualifying registration is now open. Every year, thousands of hopefuls—from club professionals to elite amateurs—tee it up, chasing the dream of earning a spot in one of golf’s most prestigious championships.
With over 100 qualifying sites across the U.S., picking the right venue is key. Some sites fill up almost instantly, while others present a great opportunity to play courses otherwise not available to the general public.

The Estancia Club – Scottsdale, AZ (Monday, May 12)
Estancia is one of the premier private clubs in Arizona, and why we hope you already got on the list. With firm and fast conditions, dramatic views, and a talented field, this qualifier will be among the toughest. Expect a high quality field at this site.
Solina Golf Club – West Columbia, SC (Wednesday, April 30)
A brand-new redesign fresh off an investment from the Bryan Brothers, Solina Golf Club is quickly gaining recognition. Located just outside Columbia, SC, this course features a modern layout with risk-reward holes that could make for exciting qualifying rounds. Qualifying is full, with a few spots on the wait list.
The Preserve Golf Club – Carmel, CA (Wednesday, May 7)
We love Northern California. Our winter series tour hosts numerous evens throughout the area. California sites always fill up quickly, and The Preserve is no exception. This exclusive course is known for its pristine conditions and demanding approach shots.
PGA West (Palmer Private Course) – La Quinta, CA (Thursday, May 8)
Spots are available at this California staple. PGA West hosts numerous name brand events throughout the year, including recent ones in the American Express and the Prestige at PGA West. A desert golf masterpiece, the Palmer Private Course at PGA West is a true U.S. Open-style test. With its signature island green par-3 and risk-reward holes, this venue will challenge even the most experienced competitors.
River Landing Golf Club – Wallace, NC (Wednesday, May 7)
We thought this was one of North Carolina’s best-kept secrets. However, it seems participants have found it quite easily, with a full field and full wait list. River Landing offers a championship-caliber test with immaculate fairways and tough, but fun approach shots.
Brentwood Country Club – Los Angeles, CA (Monday, May 12)
Unfortunately, Brentwood CC is already full. A classic L.A. course with a reputation for slick greens and a strong field, this venue always attracts elite talent. If you’re in SoCal, this was the place to play—if you managed to get in.
Noyac Golf Club – Sag Harbor, NY (Monday, May 12)
One of the few top tier clubs with spots available as of this writing. Located on Long Island, Noyac Golf Club is an extremely private, under-the-radar gem. Perhaps the cost of getting to & staying in the Hamptons has prevented a quick sellout of an otherwise great qualifying venue.
Knickerbocker Country Club (Thursday, May 8)
A few miles, and traffic jams away is Knickerbocker Country Club. Spots are available presently. Located in Tenafly, New Jersey. Founded in 1914, the club boasts a Donald Ross-designed championship layout.
Panther National – Palm Beach Gardens, FL (Tuesday, May 13)
Another newcomer to the scene opening in 2023, Panther National joins the mix. It was designed by Justin Thomas alongside Jack Nicklaus, delivering a brutal test from the tips. With firm, fast fairways and punishing rough, this South Florida track will challenge even the most seasoned players.
