Florida opens the spring season strong at the Sea Best Intercollegiate

The win marks the third overall and consecutive win of the 2024-25 season
Florida came out victorious at the 2025 Sea Best Intercollegiate at San Jose Country Club in Jacksonville, Fla., taking down Illinois State by three shots.
The Gators finished 7-under, carding rounds of 283-286-288 and winning by three shots. They were down five shots late in the final round but rallied to take over the lead and never gave it back.
Illinois State finished in solo second place at 4-under, and Coastal Carolina finished in solo third place at 3-over. South Alabama finished in solo fourth place at 7-over, and Jacksonville finished in solo fifth place at 9-over.
The win marks the third overall and consecutive win of the 2024-25 season. The Gators have won three tournaments for the first time since 2015-16 & 2016-17 and the ninth occurrence in program history.
The victory is also the 34th all-time under head coach Emily Glaser and 35th total as she was an assistant coach for a season in 2011-12.
In the individual competition, Mercedes Aldana of South Alabama and Lousiane Gauthier of Florida Gulf Coast finished as co-medalists at 5-under. Jinyoung Yun of Illinois State finished in solo third place at 4-under and one shot back of the leaders.
Susana Oliveras of Jacksonville, Ines Archer of Florida, and Isaki Sakashita of Stetson finished T4 at 3-under to round out the top five.
