Koehn made birdies on No. 17 and 18 to hold off James Kozikowski and win by one shot

Christian Koehn of Winter Park, Fla., shot rounds of 68-65-67 to finish 10-under and win the championship flight of the 2024 Orlando City Men's Amateur at Dubsdread Golf Course in Orlando, Fla.

The 15-year-old phenom recorded 16 birdies, four bogeys, and a double bogey throughout the 54 holes.

James Kozikowski of Seminole, Fla., finished one shot back of Koehn to finish 9-under and in solo second place. George McNeely of Durham, N.C., finished in solo third place at 3-under, and they were the only three golfers to finish under par.

Kozikowski and McNeely were the day-one leaders, but a bogey-free 5-under 65 saw Koehn take the 36-hole lead. In the final round, standing on the No. 14 tee, Kozikowski and Koehn were tied at 9-under. Koehn made a birdie, while Kozikowski made a triple bogey to fall four shots off the lead.

Kozikowski made birdies on holes No. 16, 17, and 18 to get back to 9-under, while Koehn made a double bogey on No. 16 but bounced back with birdies on No. 17 and 18 to hold off Kozikowski to secure the one-shot win.

McNeely had a roller coaster 54 holes, recording 14 birdies, seven bogeys, two eagles, and four double bogeys. Koehn qualified for the 2024 U.S. Junior Amateur at Oakland Hills Country Club, where he missed the cut.

In the Senior Division, Robert Parker of Sanford, Fla., shot rounds of 70-71-71 and 2-over to win the division by two shots.

Douglas Snoap of Apopka, Fla., finished in solo second place at 4-over, and Chris Howell of Winter Garden, Fla., finished in solo third place at 7-over.

Located just minutes from downtown Orlando, Dubsdread Golf Course features the oldest public layout in the central Florida area, originally designed in 1923 and renovated in 2008.

This classic course has plenty of history attached to it as the former site of the Orlando Golf Open when it hosted such golf legends as Sam Snead, Ben Hogan, and Claude Harmon.
