The 2023 defending champions have picked up where they left off, securing a second place finish at the Inverness Intercollegiate
While Auburn's seven-game tournament winning streak, the second-longest streak in NCAA Division I history, ended after finishing second at the Inverness Intercollegiate on September 10, the Tigers maintained their No. 1 ranking in the Bushnell/Golfweek DI Coaches Poll.
The defending national champion Tigers received eight first-place votes and 410 points on September 20. Jackson Koivun, the No. 5 ranked Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com World Rankings, showed no signs of a sophomore slump, winning the Inverness Intercollegiate and earning SEC golfer of the week.
Arizona State (four first-place votes), Virginia (three first-place votes), Vanderbilt, and Illinois rounded out the top five, while Tennessee, Alabama (two first-place votes), Oklahoma, Florida, and Florida State completed the top 10.
