World No. 1 Ingrid Lindblad headlines elite field of amateurs including 2022 ANWA champ Anna Davis
The fifth playing of the Augusta National Women’s Amateur gets underway on Wednesday, April 3, with an elite field of 72 women’s amateurs competing over 54 holes of stroke play for one of amateur golf's most coveted championships.
The first 36 holes will be played at Champions Retreat Golf Club (Island and Bluff nines) on Wednesday and Thursday and after a cut, the top 30 players and ties will compete in the final round at Augusta National Golf Club on Saturday, April 6. The full field will play a practice round at Augusta National on Friday.
How to watch
This year's ANWA will feature expanded broadcast coverage, as Golf Channel will televise the first and second rounds from Champions Retreat from 1:30-3:30 p.m. ET. “Live from The Masters” will air on Friday at noon on The Golf Channel to preview Saturday’s final round. NBC will air the final round from Augusta National beginning at 12 noon ET on Saturday, April 6.
Tee Times
Here are the full tee times and pairings for the 2024 ANWA.
A Look at the Field
The fifth edition of the ANWA features 24 of the top 30 players in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women's Rankings, including eight of the top ten. Ingrid Lindblad (No. 1) and her LSU teammate Latanna Stone (No. 8) are two of the favorites heading into the week. Both have had close calls in the past.
Stanford is sending a record nine current or future players to Augusta National, including Rachel Heck, who just announced that she will remain an amateur after graduation this spring. Rachel Kuehn enters the week as the highest American in the rankings. She is playing in her fourth ANWA, and her best finish is a T7 in 2022.
U.S. Women’s Amateur champion Megan Schofill looks to win the double. No reigning U.S. Women’s Amateur champion has won the ANWA, and Rose Zhang is the only player to win both titles.

One former champion in the field
Four of the previous six ANWA champions are now professional golfers. The only former champion in the field this year is Anna Davis, who won in 2022 after a closing 69. Davis joined the Auburn women’s team this spring and is the No. 27 ranked player in the Golfweek/Amateur Golf rankings. 2021 champion Tsubasa Kajitani, a first-year at Seminole State, is not in the field due to injury.
Last Year
Rose Zhang won the final crown jewel of her illustrious amateur career in dramatic fashion. The No. 1 amateur in the world at the time built a five-shot lead in the opening 36 holes at The Champions Retreat, which included a record-setting 31 on the front nine in her second round. Zhang shattered records at Champions Retreat, shooting the lowest score in the first and second rounds (66 and 65) and also setting the 36-hole low score (131).
However, a weather delay and some Augusta jitters caused Zhang to play the opening seven hole four-over par. After playing the final ten holes three-under par, Jenny Bae made a big move and caught the Stanford star to force a playoff. The duo made par on the first playoff hole and headed to the 10th, where Zhang made par while Bae’s approach missed the green left and bounded into the shrubs. She couldn’t get up and down, and Zhang claimed the title.

What's at Stake
The winner of the ANWA will earn exemptions into three majors: the Chevron Championship, U.S. Women’s Open and AIG Women’s Open, an invitation to the next five Augusta National Women’s Amateurs and any USGA, R&A and PGA of America amateur championships for which she is eligible for one year, provided the champion remains an amateur.
