Heron Creek Senior: Mark Lindberg leads heading into the Final Round

Lindberg shot the only under-par round of the week in the second round to take a three-shot lead with 18 holes left
After shooting a tournament-best 1-under 71 in the second round, Mark Lindberg of Irving, Tex., sits a 4-over and takes a three-shot lead into the Heron Creek Senior Invitational at Heron Creek Golf & Country Club in North Port, Fla.
Lindberg has shot rounds of 77-71 to get to 4-over. The 71 is the only round by anyone this week under par. He recorded five birdies and four bogeys in the second round. The big difference between the two rounds was the back nine, where Lindberg shot a 41 in the first round and a 36 in the second round.
Chad Ibbotson of Sanford, Fla., Craig Hurlbert, and Kevin Vandenburg are all T2 at 7-over. Trent Gregory and Rob Cowan are T5 at 8-over.
In the Super Senior Division, Harold Payne leads four golfers by one shot at 7-over after rounds of 77-74 through the first 36 holes.
Mike Poe, Steve Groom, Tim Vigotsky, and Michael Jones are trailing Payne by one shot, all T2 at 8-over.
Gregory Osborne leads the Legends Division by one shot over Bill Everett heading into the final round. Osborne leads at 5-over, while Everett will be the chaser at 6-over. Stephen Fox is in solo third place at 9-over.
In the Super Legends Division, Marty O'Connell and Dick Van Leuvan are tied for first place at 10-over and in the Grand Master's Division, Jim Pfrogner leads at 9-over with Jerry Edwards in solo second place at 13-over.
