The brothers will be the third pair of twins to compete on the PGA Tour this season.

David and Maxwell Ford of North Carolina will tee it up at the RSM Classic at Sea Island Golf Club in Simons Island, Ga.

The twins have been two of the top amateurs in the world, with David playing on the winning USA team at the Walker Cup, the Palmer Cup, and the World Team Amateur Championships in Abu Dhabi.

When the Fords hit their first tee shots on Thursday, they will be fulfilling a lifelong dream of playing a PGA Tour event together.

David Ford qualified for the event by winning the 2023 Jones Cup, a prestigious amateur event held annually at Sea Island Golf Club in January.

Former winners include Justin Thomas, Ludvig Aberg, Akshay Bhatia, and Corey Conners.

Maxwell Ford was going to try and play his way in through the Monday qualifier but received a sponsor’s exemption shortly before the event.

David Ford has the lowest scoring average in Tar Heel history, and he sank the winning putt for the U.S. Team during the Walker Cup at the Old Course at St Andrews.

David also earned an exemption to the 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational through his appearance in the Palmer Cup.

David Ford made his first PGA Tour start at the Barbasol Championship, and Maxwell Ford will be making his first PGA Tour start.

Both were named to The Haskins Award's end-of-fall competition watch list for National Player of the Year.

They are the third pair of twins to compete on the PGA Tour this season. Nicolai and Rasmus Hojgaard competed at The Open Championship, while Pierceson and Parker Coody both played in The Honda Classic.
