Over 20 amateurs, including 2021 low am Billy Mitchell and No. 2 Gene Elliott are competing alongside legends of the game
Just a week after the amazing finish at The Country Club, Pennsylvania's Saucon Valley Country Club will host the game's best "over-50" pros and amateurs. With four of the 15 amateurs making the cut at Brookline last weekend, the senior ams are going to have their work cut out for them as they compete against the likes of Scott McCarron, Steve Stricker, and even David Duval.
Defending champion Jim Furyk is the man to beat, and in a unique pairing, the USGA has him going off alongside Steven Dodd of Wales, and the No. 2-ranked amateur in the world, Gene Elliott.
Good luck to our longtime member and friend Gene Elliott and all the rest of the ams in the field. AmateurGolf.com will be following them all week.
