Birdie-birdie finish earns Midwestern State junior the title
The Midwestern State junior chipped in for a birdie on the 17th hole to tie for the lead and then birdied the par-5 18th hole to earn a one-stroke victory over Jansen Smith of San Antonio. Leek, who lead or shared the lead after each round, finished at 11-under 205 on rounds of 69-67-69 to earn the victory.
Mike Booker won the Senior Division after two rounds in red figures. Booker took control after shooting a tournament low 8-under 64 in the second round. He capped off his final round with four birdies in route to a 1-under 71.
