One start, one giant paycheck. That was the summation of Max Homa's first weekend on the PGA Tour.
The former Cal Bears All-American and U.S. Walker Cup team member placed in a ninth-place tie at the Frys.com Open. In his first start on the PGA Tour, Homa took home a cool $135,000.
Homa shot rounds of 69-68-66-69 to finish at 12-under and five shots back of winner Jimmy Walker.
