Odyssey to Launch Milled Collection Putters this week on Tour

This just in -- Odyssey Golf is launching its new Milled Collection Putters on Tour at the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill. Featuring the Fusion RX insert, these putters were initially released in Japan, where they were so successful that the company decided to move forward with a U.S. release. While they are planned to be in the bag of select staff members at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, a retail date will follow less than a month later. (And just in time for golf season for many of the country's golfers, who may feel like they have been exiled to Ice Station Zebra this past Winter.)
 
“Milled Collection has performed well both in the marketplace and on Tour in Japan, and we’re very excited to introduce it this week on the U.S. Tours,” Odyssey Global Product Director, Chris Koske said. "This is a great addition to the line for us. It's the intro of new and unique head shapes, and of course the Fusion RX insert that's been so key to the success of our Odyssey Works Putters."

To sum it up, you've got a CNC milled putter that includes the combination of two very popular insert technologies, the (White Hot and Metal-X) merged into the Fusion RX for an awesome combination of feel and roll. CNC milling and hand finishing result in the kind of precision demanded by the world's best players, and at a price point of $349, it's not out of reach for the rest of us.

If you're a fan of Odyssey models #2, #5 and #9 you'll likely be pleased with the subtle changes. The company's designers refined every detail, which led to the development of some unique shapes, for example a more squared head and a flatter topline.

ADJUSTABLE WEIGHTING

Golfers love adjustable weighting, especially in the phase of experimentation that many former anchorers are going through. Each Milled Collection putter includes 3 sets of customizable weights (340g, 350g, 360g).

Milled Collection putters from Odyssey will be available at retailers on April 17.
