Aloha! Bettinardi celebrates start of season with BB1 Tiki

The folks at Bettinardi have tapped into their inner Aloha to come up with a limited-edition BB1 inspired by the waves and sunshine of Hawai'i

CHICAGO, Illinois (Jan 10, 2016) -- Chicago is a cold place in the winter. So the folks at Bettinardi enjoy their annual trip to the PGA Show in Florida, and any other chances to get a few rounds in.

But wait a minute, the PGA Tour starts its season in Hawai'i every year, and that got the Bettinardi team tapping into their inner-Aloha.

"We can't play much in Chicago during the winter," said Sam Bettinardi, the company's marketing manager. "But we got inspired by the warm breezes of Hawai'i and decided to offer a limited edition of our BB1 putter to start the 2016 season."

The bottom of the BB1 Tiki is gorgeous

The BB1 Tiki is a 'no pocket' BB1 milled from soft, mild carbon steel and finished with a Texas Tea finish (which requires hand soaking). That finish is decorated with gentle blue waves and intricate engravings of Tiki men. The face is Micro HoneyComb-milled for a pure roll. A few more details:

  • Material: Mild Carbon Steel
  • Face Milling: Micro HoneyComb
  • Weight: 350g
  • Finish: Texas Tea
  • Lie: 71 degrees
  • Loft: 3 degrees
  • Toe Hang: 3/4

The BB1 Tiki is available at Bettinardi specialty dealers on January 15, 2016.
