I’m addicted to using my Bushnell Launch Pro launch monitor, and I don’t care who knows it.
It has become one of those pieces of golf equipment that I feel strange practicing without. I can still go to the range, hit balls and work on my swing, but without the Launch Pro beside me, I feel like I am missing information that could make the session more productive.
That is ultimately the best compliment I can give the Bushnell Launch Pro Circle B Edition. It does not feel like a golf gadget I bring out occasionally. It has become a regular part of how I practice, test equipment, manage my club distances and understand what is happening in my golf swing.
The Launch Pro is expensive, and accessing some of its club-data and simulation features requires an additional software subscription. It is not going to be the right launch monitor for every golfer. However, the combination of dependable data, premium hardware and the expanding Foresight software ecosystem creates an experience that less expensive launch monitors have not been able to match for me.
Build Quality and Battery Life: 10/10
The build quality and battery performance are two of the first things that separate the Launch Pro from many of its competitors.
A number of more affordable personal launch monitors have entered the market recently, but the Launch Pro feels like a professional piece of equipment. It is substantial, stable and clearly designed to be transported between the house, driving range, golf course and indoor hitting setup.
That added weight may not appeal to someone looking for the smallest possible device, but I appreciate the stability. Once the Launch Pro is positioned beside the ball, I do not have to worry about it shifting around during the session.
Battery life has also been excellent. Bushnell lists approximately five to seven hours of use, which has been more than enough for my typical practice sessions. I can charge it before heading to the range and practice without constantly thinking about the remaining battery or searching for an outlet.
The transflective LCD screen is another feature that sounds minor until you use the unit outdoors. It remains visible in harsh sunlight, allowing me to quickly check numbers without covering the screen, moving the device into the shade or relying entirely on my phone.
Connecting the Launch Pro to my phone or iPad through the Foresight App has also been dependable. I have been able to use Bluetooth at the range without turning the setup process into a frustrating technology project. For a premium product, that reliability should be expected, but it is still worth highlighting because not every connected golf device works this smoothly.
The Data Is Easy to Trust
The biggest reason I continue bringing the Launch Pro everywhere is that I trust the information it gives me.
The Launch Pro uses an auto-calibrating three-camera system that combines high-speed, high-resolution cameras with infrared technology. Instead of relying on a long window of ball flight, the cameras capture what happens around impact.
That makes the system especially useful for golfers who want one device that can work both outdoors and indoors. I can use it on the driving range, beside a practice green for certain shots or inside while hitting into a net without needing an enormous amount of space behind or in front of the ball.
Radar-based launch monitors can be excellent when they have enough room to observe the full flight of the shot. In tighter environments, however, they may need to calculate or estimate more of the result. Because the Launch Pro captures the ball and club at impact, I have more confidence using it in all settings.
More importantly, the data matches what I feel and see. When I hit the ball solidly, the ball speed, carry distance and efficiency numbers reflect it. When I strike one low on the face or deliver the club poorly, the Launch Pro gives me feedback that makes sense.
That relationship between the shot and the numbers is critical. A launch monitor becomes distracting very quickly when the golfer starts questioning every reading. With the Launch Pro, I spend less time wondering whether the device captured the shot correctly and more time thinking about what the data is telling me.
It Works Indoors and Outdoors
The Launch Pro is also easy to use.
Once the unit is positioned and the ball is inside the hitting area, I can start collecting information almost immediately. It provides ball speed, carry distance, launch angle, spin, spin axis and other important ball-flight measurements without requiring a complicated setup.
With the appropriate software subscription and club-face markers, the Launch Pro also provides clubhead speed, smash factor, club path and angle of attack.
Those four club measurements are especially valuable during practice. Ball speed and carry distance tell me what happened to the shot, but clubhead speed, smash factor, path and angle of attack help explain why it happened.
I do not necessarily need twenty different numbers after every swing. I need a few dependable measurements that help me identify patterns. The Launch Pro provides enough information to make practice more intentional without forcing me to analyze every shot like a tour-level fitting session. But if I want a deep dive of all the numbers, I can review all the data in the Foresight App.
It also works equally well for different types of practice. I can use it for a quick warm-up, a full club-gapping session, swing-speed training, wedge-distance practice or equipment testing. Indoors, it can become the foundation of a complete simulator setup through Foresight’s FSX software.
That versatility is important because I do not want separate launch monitors for separate environments. I want one device that can travel with me and provide a consistent experience wherever I am practicing.
The Foresight App Makes It More Than a Launch Monitor
The hardware is excellent, but the Foresight App and the larger Bushnell-Foresight ecosystem are what make the Launch Pro especially valuable.
The app is not limited to displaying numbers from individual shots. It can help organize club distances, visualize dispersion patterns, create structured practice sessions and translate range information into data that is more useful on the golf course.
The MyBag feature is one of the best examples. After completing an assessment with the clubs in your bag, the app can organize your carry distances and dispersion patterns. That makes it easier to identify distance gaps, overlapping clubs and areas where your setup may need to change.
Instead of assuming how far each club travels based on a handful of good shots, I can build a more realistic picture of my actual performance.

Normalization may be even more useful for golfers who practice primarily at public driving ranges. Most range balls do not perform like the premium golf balls we use on the course. They may be worn, limited-flight or affected by the temperature and elevation where we are practicing.
Foresight’s normalization features help convert that practice data into numbers that are more representative of the golf ball and conditions you expect to encounter on the course.

The app is a major reason someone should consider buying into this ecosystem. You are not only purchasing a device that displays launch conditions. You are purchasing a system that can continue adding new ways to organize, interpret and use that information.
The Vessel Sling Bag Is Worth Adding
The Vessel Premium Sling Bag has become another important part of my Launch Pro setup.
The Launch Pro is an expensive piece of technology, and I do not want it bouncing around inside a golf bag pocket or sitting unprotected in the back of my car. The Vessel bag gives it a dedicated, padded place to travel.
The construction quality is excellent, the strap is comfortable and the bag has enough storage for the monitor and necessary accessories. Most importantly, I can carry the Launch Pro and my golf bag at the same time without struggling through the parking lot.
It is not a required purchase, but I consider it a must-have for anyone planning to regularly transport the Launch Pro between home and the range. The monitor feels protected, and the carrying experience is significantly better.
Who Is the Launch Pro For?
The Launch Pro makes the most sense for a golfer who practices regularly and wants dependable information indoors and outdoors.
It is also a strong option for golfers building an indoor simulator, working through equipment changes or trying to create more accurate club-distance information.
The price will be the biggest obstacle for many buyers. The Launch Pro costs more than several competing personal launch monitors, and some of the club-data, software and simulation features require an ongoing subscription.
That should be part of the buying decision. This is not a one-time purchase that automatically unlocks every feature forever.
However, the higher cost comes with better construction, reliable battery life, a visible outdoor display, camera-based measurement and a software ecosystem that continues to make the hardware more useful.
For someone who only wants to check ball speed a few times each season, it is probably more launch monitor than necessary. For someone who practices several times a week and plans to consistently use the data, the value becomes much easier to understand.

The Bushnell Launch Pro Circle B Edition has changed the way I practice because it provides information I trust without making the process unnecessarily complicated.
The build quality and battery life are excellent. The screen works outdoors, the connection to my mobile devices has been reliable and the camera-based system performs in both full-flight and limited-flight environments.
The Foresight App takes the experience further by helping me manage club distances, understand dispersion and translate range results into information that is more applicable to the golf course.
The Launch Pro is not inexpensive, and buyers need to understand the additional software costs before purchasing. Still, the product consistently delivers the premium experience its price suggests.
I’m addicted to using it because it makes my practice sessions more focused and gives me a clearer understanding of my golf game.
At this point, I really can’t leave the house without it.
