About the tournament

One of four venues chosen to host the British Open Final Qualifying. This 36-hole stroke play event, open to both professionals and amateurs, takes place at multiple locations across England and Scotland. It follows the 18-hole Regional Qualifying, which is held the previous week at various sites throughout the UK and Ireland.

Final Qualifying is not open entry. Players reach this stage by qualifying through Regional Qualifying (June 22, 2026) where they needed a 0.4 handicap index or WAGR 1-2000 ranking, or by meeting exemption criteria such as past Open participants, world rankings, or major championship credentials.
