About the tournament
The Patsy Hankins Trophy is a biennial women's amateur golf competition, modeled after the Ryder Cup and the men's Bonallack Trophy. It features teams from Europe and Asia-Pacific, with the venue alternating between the two regions. Named in honor of Patsy Hankins (1945–2015), a highly respected golf administrator from New Zealand, the tournament debuted in 2016 at Vidago Palace Golf Course in Portugal.
The 2027 matches will be played January 6–8 at Buenavista Golf in Buenavista del Norte, Tenerife, Spain. The EGA confirmed the venue on October 14, 2026.
