Irish Women's Amateur Close Championship

The Irish Women's Amateur Close Championship is Ireland's national amateur match-play golf championship for women, first staged in 1894 and now organised by Golf Ireland. The event is contested in two phases: a 36-hole stroke-play qualifier, after which the leading 32 players advance to a knock-out match-play bracket. Entry is restricted to women born on the island of Ireland, or with one parent or grandparent born there, or who have been resident on the island for at least five years. Competitors must not have represented another country's senior international team or played in another nation's close championship, except at under‑18 level or younger.
