Walker Cup-Bound Jay Leng Jr. Fires Course-Record 60 at Ardglass

The Stanford junior and U.S. Amateur runner-up warmed up for next month's Walker Cup with an 11-under 60 on the County Down links.

Jay Leng Jr. is not letting the momentum from his summer run go to waste. Ahead of next month's Walker Cup in Ireland, the Stanford junior stopped by Ardglass Golf Club on the County Down coast of Northern Ireland and rewrote the record books, carding an 11-under 60 to establish a new course record at the historic links.

The round, captured and shared by travel outfit 8AM Golf, shows Leng draining the closing putt against a backdrop of the Irish Sea before posing with a signed Ardglass pin flag and his scorecard — a tidy line of red numbers telling the story of the day.
