USGA hits pause on Colt Knost's amateur reinstatement — and maybe on pro-to-am entirely

On Tuesday, the CBS Sports analyst and 2007 U.S. Amateur champion shared an email from the United States Golf Association regarding the application to reinstate his amateur status that he filed nearly a year ago. The verdict: not a yes, not a no, but a hold — and a signal that the governing body may be rethinking the entire pro-to-amateur pathway.
