U.S. Pub-Links Champ Vogel to make pro debut

T.J. Vogel will make is pro debut at the John Deere Classic

By Cassie Stein, Golfweek Former Florida Gator T.J. Vogel will make his professional debut this week at the PGA Tour’s John Deere Classic on a sponsor’s exemption. The three-time All-American has signed with 1 Degree management, a sports and entertainment agency based in Nashville, Tenn. Other professional golfers with 1 Degree are Steve Stricker, Kenny Perry and Luke Guthrie. Vogel has also signed deals with Acushnet (Titleist and FootJoy), Ralph Lauren, The Annexus Group and Tempus Jets. Vogel played in the 2013 Masters as an amateur after winning the 2012 Amateur Public Links Championship. Following the John Deere Classic, Vogel will play in the Web.com Tour’s Midwest Classic and the PGA Tour Canada’s ATB Financial Classic. “I am very thankful to have tons of sponsor exemptions and playing opportunities right away and I am looking forward to competing on all the great golf tours this summer and fall.”
