Titleist announced Monday that the new GTS2 and GTS3 fairways are beginning their rollout across worldwide professional tours, with tour reps on site this week at both the PGA TOUR’s RBC Heritage and the LPGA’s JM Eagle LA Championship.

The latest fairway wood launch follows a strong early reception for the company’s new GTS drivers. According to Titleist, more than 40 PGA TOUR players have already put the new GTS drivers in play since their debut three weeks ago at the Texas Children’s Houston Open.

Among that group was Justin Thomas, who added a GTS2 driver to the bag for the first time at the Masters. One week earlier, at the Valero Texas Open, Titleist said there were 34 GTS drivers in play — more than any other competitor’s total number of drivers in the field.

Interest in the new fairway woods had already started to build heading into the year’s first major. Cameron Young and Johnny Keefer each wanted an early look at the new models, and both added GTS3 21.0 7-woods to the bag. Keefer first put his into play at the Texas Children’s Houston Open, while Young added his on Thursday at Augusta National.

Titleist said player feedback continues to be a major part of the company’s development process, with tour staff working directly with players to test new models and fine-tune setups at the top end of the bag.

That testing process is expected to continue over the coming weeks across professional tours and at Titleist’s tour fitting facilities around the world.
