Every season has a starting point.
In 2026, the AmateurGolf.com Two-Man Links and Father & Son Championship begins where championship golf has lived for more than a century — Pebble Beach.
From March 26–29, teams will compete across Pebble Beach Golf Links, Spyglass Hill, and Poppy Hills in a 54-hole, two-man best-ball championship that officially launches the 2026 Two-Man Links season.
Presented by PUMA Golf, this event sets the tone for what the series represents: serious competition on meaningful ground.
Why Pebble Still Matters
Pebble Beach is more than a bucket-list venue.
Since 1919, it has hosted U.S. Opens, U.S. Amateurs, and some of the most defining moments in the sport. Jack Nicklaus’ 1-iron in 1972. Tom Watson’s chip-in in 1982. Tiger Woods’ historic victory in 2000.
And just this season, the PGA Tour returneds for the 2026 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am, where Collin Morikawa closed with a birdie on the 72nd hole to reach 22-under and win by one stroke. It was his first PGA Tour victory since 2023 and the seventh of his career — another reminder that Pebble rewards precision, patience, and composure.
The challenge has not softened. The greens remain small. The wind still shifts. The coastline still amplifies every moment.
Pebble doesn’t hide your game — it reveals it.
Building on a Strong Debut
In 2025, the Two-Man Links Championship made its Pebble Beach debut.
David Hilfman and Josh Medcalf captured the inaugural title at 6-over, securing a seven-shot victory after navigating Spanish Bay, Spyglass Hill, and Pebble Beach under demanding conditions.
In the Father & Son Division, Brian and Max Pidgeon finished 2-under to win by five shots — a performance that underscored both the competitive structure and the emotional significance of the division.
The championship felt right at Pebble. The venue elevated the competition. The competition honored the venue.
The 2026 Format
The structure remains straightforward — and serious.
Teams compete over three rounds:
- Pebble Beach Golf Links
- Spyglass Hill
- Poppy Hills
Format: Two-Man Best Ball
Divisions include:
- Championship Division (Low Gross)
- Father & Son Championship (Gross & Net)
- Net Division
- Senior Teams
This is not a casual getaway format. It is tournament golf — scored properly, administered professionally, and played on courses that demand real execution.
The Season Beyond Pebble
Pebble Beach is the opener, and it sets the standard.
The 2026 Two-Man Links series continues with:
- Bandon Dunes (April 16–20, 2026) — walking golf at its purest, shaped by wind and imagination.
- Sand Valley (May 14–18, 2026) — firm, strategic, links-style competition across four championship courses.
- Pinehurst (November 8–11, 2026) — a fitting close on one of the most respected pieces of ground in American golf.
Across every stop, the identity remains consistent:
- Two players
- One shared score
- Competitive best-ball golf on iconic venues
A Season That Begins Where It Should
There is something appropriate about opening the year at Pebble Beach.
It is not just scenic — it is historic. Not just recognizable — but relevant.
If you are going to measure your game, it makes sense to do it somewhere meaningful.
