Stewart Golf announces licensing partnership with The Open
Stewart Golf has announced a new licensing partnership with The Open, becoming the primary Official Golf Trolley Licensee for golf’s original championship.
The agreement marks a significant step for the premium electric trolley manufacturer, strengthening its presence at the elite level of the game while aligning the brand with one of golf’s most historic championships. The initial three-year partnership will cover The Open in 2026, 2027 and 2028, with Stewart Golf products featured as part of the championship merchandise offering throughout the week.

Partnership brings Stewart Golf to The Open merchandise offering
As part of the agreement, Stewart Golf will develop a limited-edition product collection connected to The Open. Further details on the collection are expected to be announced ahead of The 154th Open, which will be held at Royal Birkdale from July 12-19, 2026.
“To become the Official Licensed Trolley Partner of The Open is a proud moment for everyone at Stewart Golf,” said Mark Stewart, CEO of Stewart Golf. “The Open holds a special place in the game, and to agree a long-term association with such a historic and globally recognized championship is incredibly important for the brand.
“We are committed to continually elevating the walking experience for golfers, and this partnership reflects the progress we are making as we continue to grow our presence at the highest level of the sport.”
The R&A points to shared focus on innovation and storytelling
The partnership was facilitated through an agreement with Fanatics, the strategic retail and licensing partner of The R&A, which organizes The Open each year.
Matt Tomlinson, Head of Retail, Merchandise & Licensing at The R&A, said Stewart Golf and The R&A share a commitment to product quality, innovation and storytelling through merchandise.
“Stewart Golf and The R&A hold a shared commitment to excellence and innovation when developing product ranges, and our natural desire to tell stories through merchandise have helped us create an incredibly exciting, limited-edition collection for fans of The Open this summer,” Tomlinson said. “It has been an exciting experience working with the team at Stewart Golf on our plans ahead of The Open, and I am excited to see the reaction from our fans to the product over the coming weeks.”
The partnership continues Stewart Golf’s push to grow its profile among golfers who value walking the course while using premium electric trolley technology.
