On a day where the wind was a bit breezier than day one and the pins were tucked, Theegala -- perhaps inspired by seemingly endless birdies made over the weekend at the Ryder Cup -- shot a blistering seven-under par round of 65 to extend his two-shot opening-round lead to eight, winning the event in wire-to-wire fashion. He has committed to attend Pepperdine, and judging from his play here, and earlier this summer at the Los Angeles City Championship, he will make a fine addition to the golf team.
Finishing alone in second place was Tyler Moore, who shot 70-71.

Moore's sister, Haley, won the women's division by 12 shots, shooting 70-65. Moore, a 15-year-old high schooler from Escondido, shot 62 last year as a 14-year-old at Twin Oaks Golf Course at the San Diego Junior Spring Championship.
In the Senior division, John Hoffman fired back- to-back rounds of 72 to win by four. Ken Kubis finished in second place at 148 with consecutive 74's.
