Round 1 is in the books at Berkeley Hills, and Zach Healy sits atop the Berkeley Cup championship division after an opening 68 (-4). He has a two-shot cushion over a tie for second, where Jerell Fields and Kevin Rhoderick both posted 69 (-3) to finish at F for the day.
A logjam of four sits at T4 on even-par 72: Matty Watkins, Greg Hamilton, Keith Guest and Reid Rathburn. Hamilton was part of a share for eighth in last year's edition, so his steady start is a familiar sight. Matthew Hayes is alone in 8th at +1 (73), with Ryan Wilkins, Rafe Walker and Kyle Aiton grouped at +2 (74) in a tie for 9th.
