NATCHEZ, Miss. (April 29, 2007)-- Donny Holman, Jr. of Madison and Beck Troutman of Fernwood shot a 10-under 62 on Sunday at Beau Pre Golf Club to come from four strokes behind going into Sunday’s final round to win the 2007 State Four-Ball Championship. The 62 gave the duo a three day total of 196. The 20-under par total was good enough to edge out the nearest competitors, Reggie and Judge Little, by one stroke. In the Senior Division Ricky Sims of Canton and Bobby Maddox of Meridian shot a final round 64 to give them a three day total of 195, 21-under par to claim this year’s Senior State Four-Ball Championship. Gerald Chatham, Sr. and Felix Bertucci came in second place four strokes behind the leaders with a three day total of 1999. The champions of the Super Senior Division were Frank Heard and Bill Lambert of Natchez. The two men combined for a 12-under three day total of 204, three strokes better than their nearest competitors, Bill Bartlett and Mike Lewis.
