Minzel got to 2-under 142 at Wild Horse, which was two shots better than Andy Sajevic of Omaha, Neb. Minzel also won in 2010 and 2011, and joins Omaha's Patrick Duffy with the most all-time wins in this event.
Minzel’s final-round 69 included three birdies in his final five holes to seal the deal. Sajevic, meanwhile, birdied Nos. 10 and 12, but recorded all pars after that. Sajevic is just a few days removed from qualifying for the U.S. Mid-Amateur at his home course, Fremont Country Club. It will be his second trip to the tournament in the past three years.👂 what the 20th #NebMidAm Champ @t_minzel had to say about his win at @WHGC1998 for his third title. pic.twitter.com/8UoovqDnt4
