Hollis Stacy inducted into World Golf Hall of Fame

Stacy, an 18-time LPGA winner, won three straight USGA Junior Girls titles prior to becoming a pro

They say good things come to those who wait. Former LPGA winner and longtime women's amateur standout Hollis Stacy is proof of that.

Long after her dominance on the amateur circuits and more than 20 years after her last LPGA victory, Stacy was inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame.

Stacy, an Augusta, Ga. native, was enshrined Monday in St. Augustine alongside Phil Mickelson, Sandy Lyle, Dan Jenkins and Peter Aliss.

Stacy was the winner of three straight USGA Junior Girls Championships --- a record.

She went on to win 18 LPGA Tour titles, including four majors. She won three U.S. Women's Open titles, including two straight in 1977 and 1978.
