Higgo, a 2018 class UNLV commit, returned to Parkview Golf Club in South Africa a year after finishing second by one stroke to capture the 2017 Bobby Locke Open by carding a 19-under par 269 for a three stroke victory.
Two weeks later, he claimed the South African Golf Association season ending Harry Oppenheimer Trophy after posting a 14-under par performance at Maccauvlei for another three stroke win.
Higgo is currently the No. 23 ranked amateur in the World according to Scratch Players World Amateur Ranking, No. 102 in the AmateurGolf.com World Amateur Ranking, and No. 158 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
The SGA supports amateur golf at the highest level, including staging of the storied Southern Amateur, as well as the Southern Junior Championship.
