Dixie Senior Amateur: Woulfe wins by 2

POMPANO BEACH, FLORIDA (December 11, 2005) -- story courresty Dixie Amateur -- It seems only fitting that Rick Woulfe, “Florida State Golf Association Senior Player of the Year” would win the Senior Division of the Dixie Amateur Championship. To many the Dixie Amateur is viewed as a stepping stone to the PGA Tour as one of the oldest annual golf tournaments in the United States. For Woulfe, the Dixie Amateur has become a tradition, and once again the Attorney from Ft. Lauderdale has etched his name again as Champion of this annual winter competition. Woulfe finished +1 for a 54 hole total of 214.

In 1991 the headlines read “Woulfe Beats Tiger” as Woulfe defeated Tiger Woods to win the event. Since then who first won the Men's Division in 1991 defeating Tiger Woods in the Match Play final. This year Woulfe captured his third Senior Dixie crown.
