Dan Young Rallies in Extra Holes to Win SDGA Match Play

Dan Young added a third title to an impressive summer, rallying from 2 down late to defeat Mitchell Archer on the 19th hole and win the Syracuse District Match Play Championship at Skaneateles Country Club.

Young, the No. 14 seed in the 32-player bracket, trailed the eighth-seeded Archer by two holes entering the closing stretch of Sunday's championship match. With little room for error, Young won the final two holes of regulation to square the match before completing the comeback on the first extra hole.
