Florida State commit Chase Bauer leads Junior PLAYERS Championship

Florida State University commit Chase Bauer of Gotha, Fla., fired a 5-under 67 to take the opening-round lead at The Junior PLAYERS Championship presented by Rolex.

Bauer, currently ranked No. 22 in the AJGA rankings, made seven birdies against two bogeys to build a one-shot advantage. After turning in 1-under 35, he took control on the back nine with birdies at Nos. 10, 12, 14 and 16 for a bogey-free 4-under 32.
