British Columbia Golf delivered a composed, all-around performance to win the 19th PNGA Lamey Cup, held April 27–29 at Victoria Golf Club.
Captained by BC Golf President Shauna Wilton, the host side finished with 15.5 points to claim its fourth title in the event. Washington placed second with 12.5 points, followed by Oregon (12), Idaho (11.5), Montana (6), and the PNGA team (2.5).
BC set the tone early, holding a narrow one-point lead over Washington after the opening day of four-ball and foursomes matches. They then pulled away in singles, winning 7.5 points to secure the title.
The Lamey Cup, a Ryder Cup-style competition, features 10-player teams from the PNGA’s member associations. This year marked a shift to six teams following the addition of the Alaska Golf Association and Montana State Golf Association. Montana fielded its own team, while Alaska players were included on a composite PNGA side.
Each team includes a mix of men and women across age divisions, making it one of the few events where both contribute equally to the final result.
Founded in 2006, the event celebrates camaraderie among the region’s associations and is named after former PNGA President Dr. Jack Lamey. Victoria Golf Club, one of the association’s founding clubs in 1899, previously hosted the event in 2007.
