Baskins takes State Fair Senior

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (Sept. 2, 2013) — Dave Baskins is the 2013 California State Fair Senior Amateur champion. His rounds of 71-69 at Mather Golf Course were good enough to fend off a string of talented amateurs, as eight players finished within four shots of the lead. Second place went to two players: Scott Anderson and Jim Knoll. Knoll had sole possession of the lead after Sunday's 68 but a final-round 73 dropped him just one back of Baskins. 2013 NCGA Senior Amateur winner Casey Boyns finished in a tie for eighth, shooting 71-73.
