Auburn's Jackson Koivun Wins 2024 & 26 Fred Haskins Award

First to repeat in 34 years — Koivun joins Crenshaw, Clampett and Mickelson as a multiple-time Haskins winner.

Carlsbad, CA (June 2, 2026) – Auburn junior Jackson Koivun was named the winner of the 2024 and 20626 Fred Haskins Award presented by Stifel on Tuesday, claiming the honor given annually to the most outstanding male NCAA Division I college golfer.

In doing so, Koivun became just the fourth player in the 55-year history of the award to win it more than once, joining an exclusive group that includes Ben Crenshaw, Bobby Clampett and Phil Mickelson. Koivun first captured the Haskins as a freshman in 2024, and no player had pulled off the repeat in 34 years before Tuesday.

The announcement was made by John Shinkle, Senior Vice President of Stifel Financial, during Golf Channel’s live coverage of the NCAA Division I Men’s National Championship.

Koivun turned in one of the most dominant individual seasons in the history of college golf. He posted six victories and a 66.6 scoring average, winning six of his final ten starts. The centerpiece of his 2025-26 campaign was a third consecutive SEC Individual Championship, which he won at 19-under par — the most commanding of his three conference titles.

Along the way, Koivun was named SEC Player of the Year for the third straight season and entered the NCAA Championship ranked No. 1 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. His 11 career collegiate wins are a program record at Auburn.

The Fred Haskins Award has been presented annually since 1971 to the top male U.S. collegiate Division I golfer, as voted on by players, coaches, members of the college golf media and past winners. Past recipients have gone on to capture 33 major championships and more than 400 professional tournaments worldwide. The award is named in honor of Fred Haskins, who spent 34 years as head professional at the Country Club of Columbus, and is managed by the Haskins Foundation.
