The All-American from Ohio State just qualified for his second U.S. Open, then fired a pair of 71s at Los Angeles Country Club to make the cut, bolstering his chances of making the team when USA plays GB&I at St. Andrews in the biennial matches.

Maxwell has been a friend of the podcast and website, and he took time out of his busy week to call us from the course on Wednesday before heading out for a practice round.
