Ayden Fynaut closed out a wire-to-wire victory at the Jones Cup Junior Invitational with a brilliant 5-under 65 on Sunday at Sea Island’s Seaside Course, finishing the championship at 10-under par and four shots clear of the field.
After opening with rounds of 66 and 69, Fynaut delivered his best performance of the week when the pressure was highest, posting matching nines of 33 and 32 to pull away from a tightly packed leaderboard.
The final-round 65 capped a three-day total of 200, the lowest score of the championship and one of the strongest closing rounds in recent Jones Cup Junior history.
Max Emberson finished solo second at 4-under 206 after a closing 66, while Sage Bradshaw and Cody Guetzke tied for third at 3-under 207.

This three-day, 54-hole individual stroke-play event at Ocean Forest brings together many of the finest amateurs from the U.S. and abroad.
Because of the global success of the Jones Cup Invitational and its recognition as a premier world amateur golf event, the Jones Cup Junior Invitational and Jones Cup Senior Invitational were created in 2009 and 2011 respectively, and are contested at Sea Island Golf Club each year.
