Cal’s Constance Fouillet shot a women’s course-record 63 at St. Andrews to lead the Bears to victory over Princeton.
Cal junior Constance Fouillet fired a women’s Old Course record 9-under 63 to power the Golden Bears to a 4.5–1.5 win over Princeton and the St. Andrews Links Collegiate crown.
Competing on the Old Course at St. Andrews, Fouillet delivered a round for the ages: eight birdies and an eagle on the par-5 10th added up to a 63 that sets the new women’s course record. In match play, she defeated Princeton’s Thanana Kotchasanmanee 4-up, fueled by five consecutive birdies from holes 5 through 9.
Cal captured the St. Andrews Links Collegiate title with a 4.5–1.5 victory over Princeton. Junior Jasmine Kahler and freshman Michelle Woo each won 5-up, and sophomore Marie-Agnes Fischer added another point. The Bears entered the final after winning the 36-hole stroke-play portion at 5-under, finishing 19 shots clear of Princeton.
The 2025 field featured Cal, Princeton, Michigan State, and the University of St. Andrews in an intercollegiate showcase at what is widely known as “The Home of Golf.” The win is Cal’s first team title since October 2023.
Fouillet continues to build a standout résumé across collegiate and international competition. She is ranked 101st in the World Amateur Golf Ranking (best rank 77th), with steady results over the last two seasons, including a runner-up at the Chevron Silverado Showdown and a top-10 at the ACC Women’s Golf Championship.
With momentum from St. Andrews, the Golden Bears turn to their fall finale at the Nanea Invitational in Kailua Kona, Hawai‘i.

Started in 2023, this three-day event will feature men’s and women’s golf teams from four U.S. universities with two days of stroke play on the Jubilee Course followed by a day of medal match play on the Old Course at St. Andrews.
