The journey to a spot in the 2026 U.S. Open and 2026 Masters Tournament begins with U.S. Amateur local qualifying
The top championship in amateur golf is right around the corner.
Local qualifying for the U.S. Amateur is from June 4 to July 3, 2025, while final qualifying will take place from July 14 to July 31. The 125th U.S. Amateur Championship will be held at The Olympic Club (Lake Course), San Francisco, Calif., from August 11 to 17, 2025.
There will be 45 local qualifying sites across the United States, Canada, and Mexico and 19 final qualifying sites to determine the full field.
Last year, Jose Luis Ballester defeated Noah Kent to become the first Spaniard to win the Havemeyer Trophy on his 21st birthday.
“I think I'm still not conscious of what just happened today," Ballester told the USGA After his win. "Super thankful to have the opportunity to live this moment, especially on my 21st birthday. That's what I'm considering now. We have many great Spaniards, many great legends, and being able to add my name into that history, it's pretty sweet.”
