Indiana won the Big Ten Women's Golf Championship at Bulle Rock Golf Club in Havre de Grace, Md.. by one shot over Michigan State.
The Hoosiers finished 8-under with rounds of 288-285-283, while Michigan State finished in solo second place at 7-under with rounds of 279-283-295.
Michigan State entered the final round at 14-under and eleven shots better than Indiana, but a final round 7-over 295 and a 5-under 283 from the Hoosiers saw Indiana take the lead from the Spartans late.
Indiana's final score was the third-lowest three-round team output in program history, the lowest Indiana final mark in Big Ten Championship history, and the fourth-lowest winning tally in Big Ten Championships history. The eight-team titles rank third in the Big Ten, trailing only Ohio State with 15 and Michigan State with nine.
Northwestern finished in solo third place at 1-under, and Michigan and Purdue finished T4 at even-par, rounding out the top five. Ohio State finished in solo sixth place at 7-over.
There was a three-way tie for the individual title between Caroline Craig of Indiana, Monet Chun of Michigan, and Isabella McCauley of Minnesota. The three golfers finished 7-under to earn co-medalist honors.
Craig shot rounds of 69-69-71, Chun shot rounds of 73-66-70, and McCauley shot rounds of 74-71064. McCauley's bogey-free final-round 8-under saw her propel 17 spots up the leaderboard to get to a tie for first.
Craig is ranked No. 230, Chun is ranked No. 8, and McCauley is ranked No. 121 in the Golfweek/AmateurGolf.com Women's Rankings.
Craig becomes the eleventh Hoosier to win the Big Ten Championship as an individual and the first since Danah Ford in 2004. Her three-round score, tied for the third-lowest tournament score in program history, marked the lowest score by a Hoosier at the Big Ten Championship and ranks as the sixth-lowest Big Ten Championship-winning score in the event's history.
