Tournament Talk: Rob Couture on the Maridoe Invitational

We took great interest in the Dallas fund-raising event that featured Scottie Scheffler, Tony Romo, and Jordan Spieth

As the country slowed to a halt during the months of March and April, golf tournaments ceased to be played for obvious reasons. But the end of the month saw glimmers of hope, and one of them was at Maridoe Golf Club in the Dallas area. The club is the home of dozens of Tour players and aspiring pros, as well as many top amateurs. Suffice it to say you wouldn't have any trouble finding a game there.

The ownership and members had brainstormed a tournament to raise money for out of work caddies. We spoke with Maridoe member, and longtime Mid-Am standout, Rob Couture about playing in the event and the measures the club took to make it safe for everyone involved. Rob was gracious enough to get on the phone with us after the final round to tell us about this unique event.
