I recently replaced my iron shafts with Project X Golf Shafts. I had been using TrueTemper S-300 shafts but found them to be a little unforgiving with the iron head that I was using. The head is a muscle back club that had an exceptional feel, however off center shots would tend to lose more than the expected 7% distance.
After I made the change I immediately noticed the difference in the feel of the club. Not only did I get about 5 yards of increased distance, I also found that off center shots tended to fly more true and with greater distance. The overall feel of the Project X shaft was softer, and more balanced than the TrueTemper S-300 shaft. This made for less fatigue near the later part of the round, improving my score in many instances.
