About the tournament
Serving as the pressure-packed doorstep to one of the most prestigious amateur majors in the world, this elite 18-hole stroke play qualifier for seven positions in the field tests unexempt competitive grinders chasing their dreams. The field is strictly capped at 84 players.
HOW TO APPLY:
To be eligible for the Western Amateur qualifier, you must first submit an application for the Western Amateur Championship at www.thewesternamateur.com. After the championship field is finalized on June 26, 2026, non-exempt players and those not granted Division I Special Consideration exemptions will receive an email with a link to register for the qualifier. Qualifier spots will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis, with a registration deadline of July 19, 2026. A waitlist will be created once the field reaches 84 participants.
