At Ojai the winner is often decided on the last few holes. The 2025 Super Senior title went to a playoff after three players tied at 1-under 215, and the Senior Division has been won with a birdie on the 18th hole three years running. Players who keep birdie chances for the closing par 5 have had the edge.
