About the tournament
The Battle in the Desert is an annual, week-
long,
two-person, best ball tournament hosted at
La Quinta Resort & Club and PGA WEST. All
participants play six
tournament rounds and unlimited afternoon
replay
six on the finest courses in Palm Springs.
Each day there are also skills competitions and
afternoon horse races.
Day 1: Four player mixer. High & Low Handicap Teams paired together for 1 best ball score and two net scores.
Days 2-5: Two-Man Best-Ball
Day 6: Two-Man Aggregate Score
The Battle in the Desert will also serve as a national qualifier for the USGC King's Cup National Championship.
