About the tournament

The North Shore Amateur golf tournament has been hosted since 1956 and is a tournament filled with history with some of the best amateur players from the Chicagoland area. Several have gone on to play PGA Tour events.

The tournament field is limited to 200 players and is divided into three separate divisions:
• Championship Division (recommended handicap index of 8 or less)
• Open/Senior Division (ages 55+)
• Women Division

Entries must be submitted online at sunsetvalleygolfclub.org, by mail with check payment, or in-person at the golf shop by July 15, 2026. All entries must include an updated 2026 USGA Handicap Index.
