About the tournament
The Metropolitan Championship is a tournament that
dates back to 1919 when it
was known as the Dayton Area Amateur
Championship until 1996 when the
current name was adopted.
72 holes of Stroke Play, with the low 32
scores and ties after 36 Holes qualifying for
weekend play. There also Mid-Amateur, Senior, and
Women's divisions.
Contestants must reside in Ohio or attend an educational institution within Ohio.
